Leading colocation provider C4L is nominated for Dorset Business Award

Leading UK colocation provider C4L have been named finalists for the Dorset Business Innovative Technology Award. The battle for the finalists place was even more competitive this year with a high number of entries raising the benchmark.

Over the course of the year C4L have launched the Bournemouth data centre and their Wireless Internet service. The Bournemouth data centre is one of the only data centres in the South West that is being built to Tier 3 specifications, and features biometric security, entirely lockable colocation suites, and genuine cold-aisle containment. C4L's Wireless Internet service has been designed to provide Dorset’s home owners and businesses with a secure, high speed and reliable Internet connection. Using a series of wireless antennas, C4L provides Internet speeds of up to 100Mbps, which are possible as they do not rely on the traditional copper cables which are one of the main causes of poor broadband speeds. This service will be of particular interest to those in rural areas, who have previously suffered from extremely slow, if any, Internet connections.

The winner will be announced at the Dorset Business Awards Gala Dinner which will be held in the Concert Hall at the Lighthouse, on Thursday 9th December. The BBC’s Royal & Diplomatic correspondent, Nicholas Witchell, will be hosting this year's Dorset Business Awards.
