Wireless Internet Infrastructure
Ready for genuine Internet speed? If you live in one of our covered areas, then C4L's Wireless Internet service is here to provide you with a faster Internet connection.
The service is suitable even if you live in a rural or countryside area, which traditionally suffer from slow broadband. The initial areas we are covering are Dorset and the Wessex region. Check how your area is doing in the C4L Wireless Race.
Animated Overview of Wireless Infrastructure Connectivity
Installation
Installation of the customer equipment is straight forward; a single combined power and data cable connects to the externally mounted unit. The power supply and data cable are then located at a convenient point inside the user's building.
Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)
Customers use one of our CPE options to receive the wireless broadband service. There are several options depending on the distance from the nearest C4L node. The options are Nano station mini, Nano station or Nano Bridge.
Each of these CPE devices provides the customer with a high grade, high speed Internet link, via C4L.
Core Nodes
Each C4L core node provides a wireless point to multipoint distribution network, for delivery of high grade wireless broadband services to many customers within the service area of the node. A core node can provide up to 360 degree coverage and service hundreds of customers.
Resilient Network
The C4L network employs resilient wireless back haul to link to our Westbourne based data centre. A radio network, utilising point to point links, provides the backbone that ensures connectivity to our core node network.
