How It Works

Using a supplied software agent that can be installed on both client and server computers running Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris or NetWare, it is possible to perform complete or partial system backups.

It is as simple as downloading the software agent from our server and running its installation program on the computer you would like to back up. You are prompted for a username and password to authenticate, you then simply select what you would like to back up and the schedule to which you would like it to occur.

All the data is sent over a 256-bit AES encrypted and compressed connection, and after the initial seeding backup, subsequent alterations to data result in only the changes being sent to update the backup image.

Compression can reduce your required backup space by up to 90% depending on your data. Also, the in-file delta technology means only the small amounts of data changed each time is required to be uploaded rather the entire files. This can substantially improve backup speed and reduce space required.

By using our application-specific add-on backup, this enables you to additionally backup Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Lotus Domino and Oracle.
