Remote File Storage
Access to your space can be enabled either through FTP, NFS or SCP/SFTP as required. Using associated applications or built-in operating system features, files can be uploaded and downloaded to and from the space as needed.
Online Remote Disk
Your space is set up as a virtual hard disk device and is accessible using the iSCSI protocol. From either Microsoft Windows or most Unix-like operating systems, the space will be presented exactly like a physically-attached hard disk.
Storage Access Available
iSCSI - Online Remote Disk
iSCSI encapsulates in IP the commands that are used by storage controllers when reading from and writing to hard disk drives.
FTP - Remote File Storage
One of the early and most widely supported methods for uploading and downloading files over the Internet is the File Transfer Protocol.
NFS - Remote File Storage
Designed to allow hosts to locally mount filesystems from remote machines, the Network File System is mostly used in Unix-like environments.
SCP/SFTP - Remote File Storage
Although many of the implementation details are quite dissimilar to FTP, the SSH File Transfer Protocol aims to achieve the same type of functionality.
Private Interconnects
A port is recommended if you are using this for iSCSI, but this is not a necessity. If you choose to go for the port, you then have access to many other services such as IP Transit from 4/Mbps and further Interconnects.
