How it Works

If you've outgrown the features available with shared hosting, but your application or usage isn't yet resource consuming enough to need a physical dedicated server, then a virtual dedicated server may instead suit your needs.

The same as a physical dedicated server, a virtual dedicated server has its own installation of the operating system for your exclusive use, the difference being that the instance of the operating system shares she same physical server hardware with other instances.

What this means is that from your perspective, you have a completely isolated and unique server, but as we're able to put multiple instances of these on each physical server, the cost to you is reduced.

In addition, by using a virtual dedicated server, you can benefit from advanced features only available in a virtualised environment, such as operating system agnostic disk snapshot capability that we offer as a feature.

At any time, if your processing, memory, storage or transfer needs increase, we can easily adjust these for your virtual dedicated server. A simple reboot is all that is required in order for this to take effect.
