Network Redundancy
We multi vendor Cisco and Foundry Routers and
Switches throughout our network to provide the
ultimate in network performance. We offer a high
level of availability of at least 99.95% (SLA).
Our strength which differs us from many other
transit providers lies in our high redundancy
and low latency network. Our network is BGP4 multi
homed with multiple providers which ensures much
greater reliability than getting connectivity
from just one provider. These include Level3,
MFN, NTT etc... We take away the headache and
overhead of the hardware and admin required to
connect to multiple providers.
We also have multiple backup providers which
can take over automatically were any of our main
providers were to fail. Our backbone relies on
multiple routers from separate providers to ensure
maximum hardware redundancy. Should any router
fail, we have others in place which automatically
take over. Our network infrastructure is also
split across multiple London facilities, with
multiple routes between the locations, so should
there be any problem at one facility, the other
facilities can still carry the traffic for your
connection. .
We have 3 main colocation facilities in a Redundant
mesh network to ensure maximum reliability. So
should any location fail for any reason, the two
other locations will take over. Our core network
is designed to take up to 25Gbps, with our core
routers capacity exceeding 300Gbps and can increase
as required. We have well over 2Gbps external
capacity coming in through redundant routes into
Redbus.
We have agreements with over 400 ISP's in the
UK, Europe and US to provide your servers with
the optimum route for their traffic, removing
unnecessary hops. These include NTL, BT, Telewest,
Nildram and many more. We currently provide Internet
connectivity to over 10,000 servers and machines
in the UK. We also have links into all the major
exchanges such as LIPEX, LONAP, LINX, MANAP, AMX-IX,
BN-IX, GL-IX, NL-IX etc... We also include peering
such as the BBCi.
We are continuingly upgrading our network to
ensure we provide you with the performance and
reliability you should expect. It is currently
running at less than 20% of its capacity.
